Primelin

What a difference a day makes! Waking up to sunshine instead of rain thundering on the roof was a good start, although the wind was still howling and chilly. I mucked up charging my Garmin so had a bit of a late start by which time it was warmer on the bike.
I wanted to see more of the Crozon peninsula so pedalled off to Le Fret across the bay from the campsite - the van is in this photo somewhere...

Next stop was Camaret - apparently 'one of the loveliest seaside towns in all Brittany' according to my Rough Guide

The really good news was that I then had a tail wind all the way back down the peninsula yippee.
Joanne, my P2P mate, is concerned that Bob hasn't been modelling enough patisseries so, in memory of happy nattering and pedalling across the USA, here is a pain au raisins photo for Joanne!

Today's route was simply stunning but rather hilly, 54.6 miles and a tree trunk destroying 3619 feet of climbing.

The views were spectacular

This church in Confort has a 'calvary' which forms part of a 'parish close' common in Brittany villages which tried to outdo each other in the 16th and 17th centuries

Tonight's campsite is again on a peninsula sticking out into the Atlantic, all rather lovely when the weather is behaving itself

The support crew had lots of fun in a hypermarche so the tiny fridge is stuffed with quiche, pate, poulet roti, cheese and clams - cyclist is never knowingly underfed!
